Pleasure is the way the people in this world find what they are looking for. The sad thing is we try to find success in pleasure to justify it being good. Sex is pleasurable and good, but can be used not as it has been intended by God. When we look at our everyday life, we see this "Pleasure concept." From choosing a career path, to choosing the right car, everything is our standard; but should it?
The fact is God has granted us the act of making decisions. I can decide to open a door or keep it closed. I can decide to sit down or stand up. I can decide to ware shorts or pants and so forth. We have this freedom of choice. What we need to understand is where is the line. The line from Gods choice and our own free will choice.
"Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet believed." KJ21. John 20:29
From this verse we see that people doubt, even those that knew Jesus firsthand. Freedom comes with these doubts. If we saw God with our eyes we would do everything for him as he is our God and we are made to serve him. It's because we cannot see him that we not only have freedom of choice, but also a desire for success. If we do what he wants us to do, then we are blessed successfully. The line between freedom of choice and God's choice, is when we have faith in Christ without us seeing Christ. When you do for God as though you have seen him in the flesh just as Thomas had. When you do that, the line is clear.
I remember even to this day my mom saying, "well you should care." Even to this day my mom tells me that. We should care about our savings, how I look, what I feel and etc. But when I say this I mean that, "God I don't care, your choice is my choice." This is the most simplistic way to deal with control. I've been through a lot, and I'm only twenty. Any struggle, choice, blessing and more I say this to myself. When my parents divorced I cried saying "I don't care." When they found a leak in my heart, I said this. When I had the worst boss of every boss in the world, I left the company saying "I don't care." When you acknowledged God's power over you and everything... be patient.
No matter how bad it gets, no matter how low you are, just relax and praise God in hardship. No matter how badly you want control. If he has control you will be decisive. You will make the right decisions. In Gods eyes his decisions are never wrong decisions. Paul at his lowest of lows was sentenced to death. Despite this he sent a love letter to numerous churches saying how blessed he was while in prison. These letters now make up half of the New Testament. Daniel trusted God so much, he jumped into a lions den. And most importantly Jesus trusted you to spread the gospel so much that he would sacrifice himself for your worthlessness. You are successful in Christ. The only decision that will ever matter is whether or not you choose Christ as your savior.
"Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." NIV. John 14:6
God can choose anyone in the whole world for whatever you are dealing with, yet he chose you. Simply grace is the answer. You are nothing and yet God chose you. You are made successful through Christ no matter the circumstances. The most wise quote I've heard in my entire life was said by this man; John Bainbridge. He said, "A man with 50 problems is twice as alive as a man with 25. If you haven't got problems, you should get down on your knees and ask, 'Lord, don't You trust me anymore?'"
